EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

Emergency Management is charged with the development and maintenance of a Comprehensive Emergency Management Program in coordination and planning with local, state, federal and private agencies in order to protect life and property from natural and manmade hazardous events. The program seeks to mitigate the effects of an occurrence, respond during emergencies and provide necessary assistance, and to establish a recovery system in order to return the community to its normal state of affairs as soon as possible. This agency is also charged with establishing, maintaining, and operating in Emergency Operations Center from which officials can conduct operations during emergency/disaster conditions.

Hyper-Reach

In the interest of public safety the Adams County Board of Supervisors has subscribed to the Hyper-Reach. This service is free for all residents in Adams County to sign up.

Information about Hyper-Reach Weather Warning:

Like CodeRED® Weather Warning, Hyper-Reach is telephone warning notification system. To receive weather notifications, residents must sign up to Hyper-Reach. Phone numbers registered under CodeRED® will not carry over to the new system. Residents must re-register their numbers with Hyper-Reach.

Hyper-Reach provides rapid notification of hazardous and urgent situations using telephone calls, text, and email messages. This also includes TTY/TDD for the hearing impaired. Hyper Reach will be used for weather alerts, city or county events, environmental hazards, burn bans, community updates, and missing persons.

What information is required to sign up?

Required information includes first and last name, street address (physical address, no P. O. boxes), city, state, zip code and primary phone number (additional phone numbers can be added if you choose). There are several options to sign up below.
